Where is the stump puller manufactured?

Pullers are built from scratch in Winston, GA (outside of Atlanta) by Solesbee’s Equipment. They have been building excavator thumbs and attachments for over 20 years! Renowned in the US for heavy duty attachments and great customer service – we are proud to offer their range of attachments!

What dimensions are needed to order a stump puller? 

Measuring a bucket that fits your machine is the easiest way to get the dimensions needed. Distance between the bosses, pin to pin centers and the pin diameters are all that is needed.

Can I use the stump puller with a quick coupler?

Yes, the stump puller can be used underneath a quick coupler, however you do lose some breakout force.

Can I use the stump puller with my hydraulic thumb?

Yes, you can use a stump puller in combination with a hydraulic thumb.

Is the stump puller better for removing stumps than a ripper or bucket?

Yes, the stump puller is designed specifically for large stump removal. Having two levers allows you to get underneath the stump and pull out using the breakout force of the machine. It is faster for removing as well as back filling and levelling.

What material is the stump puller made from?

Stump pullers are made from ASTM A514 steel plate from thicknesses larger than 1.5″ depending on the size of the excavator.

Is there anything else that I need to get to work?
